1977's 'Rumors' is considered to be the band's best by most fans. Keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie's 'Say You Love Me', 'Over My Head', and vocalist Stevie Nicks' 'Landslide' and 'Rhiannon' all proved to be major hits, and raised expectations for a follow-up record. Looking for a drastically different direction to take the band in, Fleetwood recruited Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The band's mainstream international success began with their self-titled 1974 album. The band's patrial namesake, Mick Fleetwood, is the only member of the band that has remained for the entire 41 years it has existed. Through 14 lineup changes and 15 different band members, there has been only one constant.
